We have suffered a great loss. My Great-Grandma Agnes Clara Smith Haddix has passed away. What a big family we have! In the past few days after Grandma’s passing I have learned some more information about our family. I am trying to put the information that I have learned into my database. When I get it all in I will update the Haddix Family pages on the web site. Thanks again for stopping by!
My research has been slow these last few months. With Grandma being sick and then passed away, I have been concentrating on other things. I did however find some photographs, newspaper articles, and other things along those lines when we were going through Grandma’s things. They have been useful to me when I have been working on the tree. I am now getting back into the swing of things and hope to have new content up on the site by Christmas. I will have new pictures and some more information in the History section, I hope!
I also wanted to thank everyone who has visited the site. I am so glad that it has been so helpful to you. That’s why I wanted to create it and I’m glad my hard work is paying off!
I have been trying to find my information on the Wallace’s. I know Howell Wallace was married to Ada Simms. He was born about 1881 in West Virginia. I believe his father is Alvin. I found Alvin’s death certificate and it had a Howell Wallace listed on it as a son and he lived around Mason County, WV. If this is the case then I believe Perry Wallace is Alvin’s father, also from Mason County, WV. This is all the information I can find. I have been searching for the Wallace family since I started researching my genealogy. If any one has any information on any of these names, would you please share your information?
I have found that the Morgan Family has a lot of history. I just found that I am related to Ephriam F. Morgan the 16th Govern of West Virginia. I have also found a journal written by two Morgan’s during the Civil War. I think that the Morgan’s have been one of my favorite families to research. I always find interesting information about the family everytime I research it.
Right now I am gathering information on my husband’s family. Surnames include: Ash, Nay, Lucas, Nuzum, Ashcraft, Metz, Shinn, just to name a few. I have found that he is a descendant of Levi Shinn, founder of Shinnston, WV. If anyone has any information they would like to share please do. I have found hardly anything on the Ash surname. When I get a chance I will create a page with my husband’s family information.
Right now I am concentrating my research on getting more history. I have found that Morgan Morgan is a descendant of William the Conqueror and Roman Emperor Constantine I. I have found some sites with some information on them. If any one knows of any sites that have any information on any of the surnames I am researching let me know. I’m also trying to figure out the best way to publish my research. I thought about a book with sections that include the genealogical data, history, wills, pictures, news articles and others, but I have so much information that this idea is becoming unrealistic. Any thoughts on this would be nice too. I am also going through all my information and trying to verify as much as I can.
